Monthly Favorites | June 2014

heyy girls,

I just realised that June is over! Wow! I can't believe it. This month was a crazy month for me and to be honest, I'm glad it's over. If you want to know why this past month has been insane for me, I'll link my update post that I did a couple days ago (here).

That being said, I didn't discover revolutionary products but I've been loving some stuff that I thought would be nice to share with you :) I'll even add some random stuff that I've loving at the end because I think it can be helpful to some people.

The first product that I've been loving this month is an old favorite of mine. Yes, you've guessed it: Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in 13. It's truly the best cream eyeshadow that I've tried so far. The color is just gorgeous; it reminds me of Sin by Urban Decay with a bit more gold reflects. I did a review and a comparaison post on this product last summer I think.

Another old favorite of mine that I need to share because I'm still using it almost everyday and that's a first for me. I've been using the MAC Omega eyeshadow a lot this month (like everyday) to fill in my eyebrows. Love it. Can't get enough of it.

But don't worry I've also discovered new products like the MAC lipstick in Creme Cup. In the store, I hesitated between this one, Angel and Creme d'Nude. And now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'm going to purchase the Creme d'Nude too.

Review | Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara

Heyy girls,

Today I'm going to review the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes! Mascara. I got this little sample sized mascara in an holiday kit at Sephora. I've been testing out this product for a couple of days now, and I'm finally ready to give you my opinion...

The packaging
The packaging is very simple, yet pretty. I didn't have any issue with the packaging or the quality of it.

The brush
The brush reminded me of the Covergirl Professional Super Thick Lash Mascara, but in a bigger version. It isn't too big, neither too small. It has a lot of bristles to it that helps separating your lashes.

♡ Eye Makeup Look Tutorial | Valentine's Day ♡

Heyy girls,

I was looking through my blog posts recently and I realized that I've never done a tutorial with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. But I did an entire post with swatches of this palette if you're interested. Anyway, here I am today with this Valentine's Day eye makeup look. So, grab your Naked 3 palette and let's get started with this tutorial.

** Sometimes I look like I'm not wearing any eyeshadow, but it is because my camera doesn't have the best picture quality **

1- Apply an eyeshadow primer all over the lid. I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

2- Take a flat eyeshadow brush and put Strange all over the lid as a base color.

3- Then take the same brush and put the color Burnout all over the lid.

4- Take a big fluffy brush and put the color Limit in the crease. Do a circular motion on the outside of the crease for more definition.

5- Take the same brush and put a darker color called Factory on the outside part of the crease.

6- Take the same color of the beginning, Strange, and highlight the inner corners of your eyes.

♥ Review: Tarte Maracuja oil ♥

heyy girls,

today I'm back with a review of the Tarte Maracuja Oil. I got a tiny sample of this product when I bought a Tarte holiday kit at Sephora the other day. I've been using the Tarte Maracuja Oil at night for more than a week now and I'm finally ready to give you my opinion about this product/review it for you.

First, I really like the packaging. The dropper is very practical and distributes well the product. I haven't had any problem with the dropper. The product is contained into a purple glass container that isn't totally opaque so you can see how much product you have left.

I won't recommend the Tarte Maracuja Oil for people with oily skin because I don't think that adding more oil is a good idea. It is a good face moisturizer for people who has normal to dry skin. Again, if you have extremely dry skin I don't think that this product will be super effective on you.
