Montlhy Favorites | July 2014

Heyy girls,

Wow! This month is already over... and I'm glad it is because very disappointing things happened to me this month. For example, they had to let go of some of the staff where I work and I was one of them. So, I currently don't have a job but it's okay since I live with my parents (I don't have bills to pay). I try to see the positive side of it: I'll have more time to write post on my blog and I might also start doing videos, and the most important thing: I can finally wear nailpolish.

The first product that I've really been loving this month is the Soap & Glory Hand Food Hand Cream. I did a review a couple of weeks ago (here). For some reasons, my hands have been very dry lately so this hand cream has been my life savior because I hate the feeling of dry hands.

I've also been enjoying this sunscreen from Neutrogena. To me, this is the best sunscreen you'll ever find at the drugstore. You can choose from other level of SPF (you don't have to use a 110 SPF like I do). It doesn't feel greasy on the skin and it dries so quickly, plus it doesn't break me out (I use it mainly on my face). So if you ever have the chance to pick up the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen, I would highly recommend it!

This month, I have discovered a new favorite in the mascara department. Yes, you read it right. I am no longer in love with my Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara. I replaced it with my new love of the moment: Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara (I have the waterproof version). I just love how it separates my lashes while also adding some volume. Love it.

Lately, I've been broken out a bit more than usual and I think it's because I ran out of my Micheal Todd Jojoba Charcoal Facial Scrub. So, obviously I needed a new facial scrub to get the dry skin and the dirt out of my face. I had a little sample of the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion Skin Exfoliant and I'm glad I tried it before buying another facial scrub because I'm in love with it. This is VERY exfoliating but in the good way. They say to use it once or twice a week and I totally understand why. I might do a review of this product if you're interested ;)

Monthly Favorites | June 2014

heyy girls,

I just realised that June is over! Wow! I can't believe it. This month was a crazy month for me and to be honest, I'm glad it's over. If you want to know why this past month has been insane for me, I'll link my update post that I did a couple days ago (here).

That being said, I didn't discover revolutionary products but I've been loving some stuff that I thought would be nice to share with you :) I'll even add some random stuff that I've loving at the end because I think it can be helpful to some people.

The first product that I've been loving this month is an old favorite of mine. Yes, you've guessed it: Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream in 13. It's truly the best cream eyeshadow that I've tried so far. The color is just gorgeous; it reminds me of Sin by Urban Decay with a bit more gold reflects. I did a review and a comparaison post on this product last summer I think.

Another old favorite of mine that I need to share because I'm still using it almost everyday and that's a first for me. I've been using the MAC Omega eyeshadow a lot this month (like everyday) to fill in my eyebrows. Love it. Can't get enough of it.

But don't worry I've also discovered new products like the MAC lipstick in Creme Cup. In the store, I hesitated between this one, Angel and Creme d'Nude. And now that I'm thinking about it, I think I'm going to purchase the Creme d'Nude too.

Haul | Spring Inspiration

heyy girls,

last weekend I went to the drugstore with one of my friends and I bought some stuff. It isn't much, but I was very excited about what I bought that day. I got a bunch of magazines and some beauty products. I hope you'll enjoy reading this quick post even though it's not very long and detailed...

The first beauty item that I got is the Pacific Blue nailpolish from Sally Handsen. It is just a beautiful true ocean blue color. It was also very inexpensive and I bought it because I've heard that those Xtreme Wear nailpolishes are amazing. Of course, their shade selection isn't as great as Essie, but it's okay.

Next, I finally bought the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in 15. I've already bought this product before, but in a darker shade that unfornately didn't match me most of the time (it was alright during the end of summer when I had a tan). I might do a review later if it ends up being my favorite concealer of all time ;)

Monthly Favorites | March 2014

heyy girls,

today I'm back with my monthly favorites for the month of March! Yeah! I don't know about you but this month didn't go by quickly at all. Seriously, it was the longest month ever. AND we had a lot of snowstorms this month; everytime with felt like Spring was coming in it had to snow... Let me tell you that I am sick of Winter and you might have seen it in my Manicure Monday posts recently, where I've been only showing pastel colors. So, yeah, back to the topic of monthly favorites; this month has been a good month in term of finding new products.

This month, I've been loving my Stay Matte powder from Rimmel as a setting powder for my undereye area. It is just so lightweight and it helps my concealer stays on longer. I have the color transparent.

I've also been loving my eyelash curler from the brand Missha. It is a korean brand and you might have seen it in my last haul. I like how wide it is because it can really curl ALL my eyelashes at the same time.

I've also discovered some new awesome brushes this month! I used  the Real Techniques Contour Brush as a setting powder brush. I've also been using the fondation brush from the same brand to apply my concealer under my eyes. These brushes are just SO SOFT and good quality. I love them!

Monday Challenge | Pastel Fantasy

Heyy girls,

on this wonderful Monday, we are going to jump right into Spring. I don't know about you, but I am sick of Winter right now. I can't wait to say goodbye to the cold weather & the snow, and to say hello to the sun & the warm air. Anyway, I hope this short post will bring some Spring spirit into your day. Let's get started!

Do you like pastel colors?
I don't like pastel colors, I love them!

Do you wear it often? Never?
It depends on the season, but during Spring & Summer time that's all I am wearing on my nails. As for clothes, I only wear pastels during Spring. I was supposed to show you my favorite pastel fashion pieces, but unfortunately I am moving out currently and I only have my winter clothes with me...

Monthly Favorites | February 2014

Heyy girls,

I don't have many favorites to show you this month because I just recently bought new stuff and I want to really give those products a good try before telling you all about it, but anyway, I still wanted to show you my favorites for the month of February.

I've really been enjoying the Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisturizer for sensitive skin. It definitely isn't as good as my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, but for a drugstore moisturizer it is pretty good. I liked how light it was while still being very moisturizing.

Towards the end of this past month, I've started wearing more pastel colored nailpolishes. I've especially been loving the Zoya Dot nailpolish. I wore it two weeks in a row plus I did my pedicure with this same color. That should means something, right?

Next, I've been really liking this shampoo from Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy Strong Lenghts. It is very creamy and smells SO good. I just can't get over this clean and fruity scent! It is moisturizing, but at the same time no too moisturizing so you don't have to be worry about your hair getting oily quickly. I found this shampoo perfect for the dryer months since I wash my hair everyday I don't like very clarifying shampoo. Basically, this shampoo is perfect for me. I think I'll even buy the conditioner when I'll have the chance ;)

I don't know if I've talked about this product before, but I've been loving this Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover. It didn't irritate my eyes and it removed most of my eye makeup in one take. I do love this product better than L'Oreal Gentle Eye Makeup Remover, and its price is more budget friendly.

♡ Ipsy Bag | February 2014 ♡

heyy girls,

When I got home the other day, a little pink package was waiting for me. If you have been reading my blog for a while, well you know what that means. It means that my Ipsy package has arrived! Let's see what I got in this February Ipsy Bag...

The first thing that I got is a full sized of a Zoya nailpolish in a very pretty light pink color named Dot. I am wearing it right now as I am writting this post and I love the formula and the staying power so far.

Next, I got this pair of false eyelashes in the style EL13 from the brand J.Cat Beauty I've tried to put false eyelashes once, but failed. I hope they will be easier to put on. I love the style though, it looks very natural.

Monthly Favorites | January 2014

heyy girls,

Today I'm back with my monthly favorites for the month of January 2014. I don't really have a lot to show, but there are new stuffs that I've been loving and that I've never shown to you. Let's see what I chose this month as my favorites...
This month I've had some problems with my skin. I've been getting tiny little pimples, which I never get usually. I've been using this Freeman Facial Clay Mask in Strawberry & Chocolate. It smells divine! It also does a very good job at deep cleansing my pores.

This month, I've been loving the Seche Vite Top Coat. It really does make your nailpolish dry faster. I can't remember if I ever put it in one of my favorites, but I mean it just shows how much I really like a product ;)

I've also been liking the It's So Big Mascara by Elizabeth Mott...a lot. It gives awesome volume and it is very black, which I love.

♥ Ipsy Bag | January 2014 ♥

heyy girls,

a couple of days ago I got in the mail my January Ipsy Bag. To be honest with you, I don't know if I'll continue getting this specific subscription service, because I'm not enjoying it anymore. Yes, I do get excited when it comes at my door, but I feel like I am ready to move on to something new. I would love if you could recommend me good beauty subscription services in the comment section below. Anyway, here is what I got in this month's bag...

Look how pretty this little makeup bag is!

The first product that was in my January Ipsy Bag is this Mica Beauty Cosmetics Tinted Lip Balm in the color Natural. The color is simply gorgeous! It is such a pretty nude and I love the consistency of the product. I'm really excited about it and I'm intrigued to see if it will become one of my favorite lip products.

Next, I got this Willa 10 Gentle Cleansing Lavender Face Towelettes. I haven't tried it yet, but it is great to put in your purse if you ever need to wash off swatches after you get out of a Sephora or a Mac counter ;)

♥ Ipsy Bag: December 2013 + Leave me suggestions! ♥

heyy girls,

I totally forgot to show you what I got in my December 2013 Ipsy bag! So as you can tell by the title, I'll show you today what was in my December Ipsy Bag.

Please leave me suggestions of what you would like me to do next because I don't really know what else to do then showing you what I got in my Ipsy Bag, and I know that some of you would want to see something different. So, just leave me suggestions and EVERY suggestion is a good idea. That being said, don't be afraid to leave me comments I read ALL of them and love when you do ;)

**I want to apologize for the pictures' quality. I had some trouble with my camera and I definitely need a new one, but they are SO expensive...

The first item that I got in this month's bag is this nailpolish from Nicka K. I can't find the name of the color but I've taken a picture of the sticker underneath the nailpolish so you can find something that could help you with the name, because I have no clue. It is a very pretty taupe with mauve reflects. It's very different than what I've seen before. I like the color a lot.

Next, unfortunately, I got a multi-task cream product from Be a Bombshell. I really dislike this brand so far. Also, Ipsy always gives me the bright red color every single time. Like I said before, this kind of color looks very cheap and clowny on me. Not very pumped about this product...but we'll see...

When I opened the little bag the first thing that I saw was this Mirabella Eye Blender Brush. I was very happy about this tool but not so happy about how they tried to fit this brush into the bag. The pouch was clearly to small for it and it did damaged the bristles of the blending brush. But overall, I'm very excited about this new tool and I have to say that it does work wonderful.

Guess what?! I got a wearable eyeshadow trio. Yeah! I'm so happy that I finally got something that I could use everyday and not only when I go out at night. I forgot the name of this trio but you can go on Pop Beauty's website to find out.

The last product that I got in my December's bag was this lipstick from NYX in the color Fusion. I'm very excited to try this product because I've heard so many greats things about it. Plus, the color is perfect for the Spring and Summer time. You can easily build up the intensity or wear it sheer on the lips.

Don't get me wrong, I love experimenting with makeup but sometimes I wish subscription services would give me wearable colors for me to really try out the product, because to be honest, they are a lot of products that I've only used once because the color was too crazy. It is unfortunate because if I don't wear the product first I feel like I've wasted my money, and second I can't have an accurate opinion about the product.

♥ November 2013 Ipsy Bag ♥

Heyy girls,

Two weeks ago I received my November Ipsy Bag. If you don't know, Ipsy is a subscription service where you pay 10$ per month to receive 5-6 deluxe sized beauty products. If you're curious about it you can check it out here. I have to say that I've been subscribe to Ipsy for a couple of months now and that I am very pleased with it. Here is an overview of my November Ipsy Bag...

The first thing that I got in this month Ipsy bag was this Starlook eyeliner in the color Topaz. It is a silver eyeliner, perfect for the upcoming Christmas time. As you know, I am not a big fan of Starlook's products but this eyeliner wasn't that bad. Of course, it doesn't compete with the Urban Deday's glide-on 24/7 eyeliners but it was smoother that the first eyeliner that I got in my September bag and the lip liner that I got in my October bag. The pigmentation is great though. I love how it is a full size product.

Next, I got this baked eyeshadow from BH Cosmetics in the color Aphrodite. The pigmentation is great, you can easily build up the intensity. The color is also very pretty for autumn and I have nothing bad to say about this product. You can learn more about those baked eyeshadows here.

Moving on the the next item, I got this nail polish from Nailtini in the color Champagne. I've been raving about the Nailtini's nail polishes since the beginning and this nail polish doesn't do exception. You can get a good color pay off with only one coat but I always put on two coats for a more vibrant look. What can I say more than I. LOVE. THEM. Yeah I know, I'm obsessed.

♥ October Ipsy Bag ♥

heyy girls,

last week I received my October Ipsy bag and I thought why not show you what I got in this month Ipsy bag ;) Here is what I got...

The first thing that I got is this pack of 10 facial wipes from La Fresh. It says that it is oil-free, biodegradable and compostable wet wipes made of a natural formula. I think this is more of a refreshing type of product more than a makeup remover. I haven't tried it yet but I am very excited to see if this is great or not.

Next, I got something that I was very excited about; I got a Zoya nailpolish! I was SO happy because I've never tried this brand before. The color is very pretty too. I think it is called Giovanna but I'm not sure. It is a pretty emerald green which is perfect for this season. I've tried it on two nails as an accent color and so far I like the consistency and the pigmentation.

♥ September favorites ♥

Heyy girls,

this month has gone by very quickly and it is (again) that time of the month where I present to you the products that I've been loving through the entire month of September.

To be honest with you, I don't have new things that I've been loving, only things that you've seen in the past. But I thought I'd showed you anyway since I personally love to know what others have been loving. For me, if a product came up many times through the monthly favorites, it means that it is THAT good of a product. So here are my favorites for this past month...

The first thing that I've been loving doing this month is quick makeup look. This month I have been crazy busy with school and simple makeup has been my go-to look. For an example I've been concealing my under eye circles from my lack of sleep with my Garnier Roll-On concealer in light to medium. Next I used my Naked Basics (almost everyday) since I had every color that I needed to do a simple eye makeup look and to fill in my brows. So I've basically been wearing W.O.S on my lid, Naked 2 in the crease, Faint on the outer corner when I felt fancy and Naked 2 to fill in my brows. Mascara. Lip balm. Of course. Maybe some powder when I felt like I needed it. That's it.

My next favorite has been my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream (I did a review here). As you know the weather is changing, leaves are coming down from the trees, the air is getting colder, everyone is sick already and as a matter of fact, your skin is getting dryer and dryer and dryer. Well, I discovered a nice face moisturizer from the brand First Aid Beauty and if you want to know what I think about it I suggest you to read my review ;)
