My winter skincare routine
heyy girls,
since winter arrived a little while ago I had to change up my skincare routine because my skin was getting dryer. I've been experimenting with that new routine for a couple of weeks and I'm really happy about how it turned out. I have combination to oily skin and I think this new skincare will help me for the winter. In that blog post I will show the products that I use during that cold time of the year. If you have any questions or recommendations you can leave them as a comment at the end of the post! :)
The most important things to do during the winter time are to exfoliate and moisturize. I've been loving the Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing gel. I have a review of that wonderful product on my blog. I use the exfoliating side of Olay 2-in-1 daily facial cloths to exfoliate my skin. I exfoliate my skin 1 to 2 times a week. I really like this product because it is gentle for my sensitive skin. I recommand to exfoliate at night because when you exfoliate your skin is more vulnerable to the sun.

I also sometimes use the Yves Rocher Pure System pore cleansing mask for acne-prone skin instead of the Olay 2-in-1 daily facial cloths. It is a mask that you keep 3 minutes on your face before taking it of with a humid cloth. It did help with my acne. I recommand doing this at night because it contains salicylic acid.

DECEMBER GLAMBAG
heyy girls,
I received my Ipsy bag a couple of days ago. I was sooo excited because of the sneek peaks that they gave us on the Ipsy website. The theme of this month was Haute Holiday. If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription where you pay 10$ in the US or 14$ in Canada per month to receive a little makeup bag full of deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. In my opinion, I really think Ipsy is worth it because you can try products without spending a lot of money and I also think that it is perfect for people like me that are building their makeup collection and want to experiment with products before buying full size. Let's see what I got in my bag this month...

First thing that I got was the Mai Couture Highlighter Papier. There are 25 sheets in this booklet. You use it to highlight the high points of your face like the top of your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose. The packaging is sooo pretty! I'm really happy with that product. The full size contains 50 sheets and costs 28$. You can buy that product at www.maicouture.com.Friday, December 21, 2012
Nail of the week: Candy cane feat. Sally Hansen Rapid Red
heyy girls,
this week I've been trying christmas theme nails. I did a candy cane pattern on the thumb. It was so simple and I think that anyone can do this. Here is the list of products you need if you want to try out the candy cane pattern...
What you will need:
- Base coat
- Red nailpolish
-White nailpolish
-Scotch tape
-Top coat
First thing you want to do is to paint your nails with the base coat. That way, they can be protected from the other nailpolish. I used Revlon Quick Dry base coat.

Review: Clinique dramatically different moisturizer gel
heyy girls,
two weeks ago I went to Sephora to buy a gift for my mom because it was her birthday and I decided to get a new moisturizer because I ran out of mine. I used to use Avène Clean-Ac wich is for acne-prone sensitive skin. I've heard good things about the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel so I decided to pick the 50 ml size to try it out and see if I like it...
Before I give my opinion on that product I just want to describe you my skin type to give you an idea. I have combination oily skin but during the winter I get very dry on the apples of my cheek and around my mouth and my nose. In that time of year I need a good moisturizer because nobody likes to have dry skin ;)
The Clinique moisturizing gel has a light yellow color and doesn't leave a residue on your skin. This formula is for combination oily to oily skin. It's oil free, allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. It claim to work to improve skin's texture and condition. I have to say that it is true and I'm in love with that moisturizer. It didn't break me out. I recommanded to everyone even people with oily skin. The only down side is that there isn't a pump for the smallest size wich is the one that I got but the two other sizes have a pump.

Haul: B&BW and Walmart
heyyy girls,
Recently I went with my friends at the mall and I got a little crazy, but that's okay. I won't be shopping for a while anyway. So first I went to Bath and Body Works and I bought A LOT of stuffs...The first candle I got was the Winter Candy Apple wich is a blend of candied apples and spices orange zest, with a touch of winter musk. I also got the Mahogany Teakwood wich is a fine woods fragrances of mahogany, cedarwood and oak with lavender and geranium notes. This one smells just like an abercrombie & fitch store! Those are 3-wick candles and the burn 30 to 45 hours. Bath and Body Works also had their 3 for 5$ hand sanitizer gel. I got three of them in warm vanilla sugar, paris amour and midnight pomegranate. Also, when I was waiting in line I decided to take a pink lufa and a mini country chic parfum.

Review: Maybelline color tattoo
Heyyy girls,
So today I decided to do a review on the Maybelline color tattoo by eyestudio. They are cream eyeshadows that are suppose to stay on for 24h. I have to say that a really love them and there is a large selection of color to choose from.
I use them as a base for my eyeshadow and I never had a problem with creasing. You can also wear it on its own as a cream eyeshadow. They all have a metalic finish, so they are not completely matt. The staying power is amazing and I recommend it to everyone who wants an inexpensive eyeshadow base that can be use also as a cream eyeshadow. Here are some swatches of those two colors that I own.

Mini Sephora Haul
Heyyy girls,
A couple of weeks ago I ordered online some products from Sephora. I didn't get a lot of stuff but I thought that you would enjoy see what I got and at the same time I can give a little review of those products. I purchased products from the sale section so everything is affordable and under 12$.
I also got the Arte Palette in Lion Pappa by Tokidoki. The eyeshadows are all neutrals and there is also a blush. The blush is really pretty but in my opinion it is not very pigmented. The eyeshadows are really good for the price. The palette is really compacted and handy. There is also a mirror on the inside. I got this palette on sale for 3$CA and I don't know if Sephora still carries Tokidoki online or in store.

I also bought a pop-up brush but I forgot to take a photo of it |
First, I got an Hello Kitty cosmetics case. I just thought it was so cute and that it will be perfect for traveling. It has a lot of room in it. There is also a pocket inside the case. I got it on sale for 11$CA and I don't think you can still get it at Sephora anymore.

Nail of the week: Where's my chauffer/Millionaire
Heyyy girls,
Recently I bought a new essie nailpolish from the new 2012 Winter Collection. It's call Where's my chauffer. It is a beautiful turquoise color that is really pretty by itself on the nails.
As you can see on the photos below I jazzed it up with a glitter nailpolish. If you read my November Glambag you certainly noticed that this nail color is Millionnaire by Nailtini.

NOVEMBER GLAMBAG
Heyyy girls,
So I just received my Ipsy bag for the month of November. The theme of the month was Party Perfect. It was the first time that Ipsy shipped to Canada. In my bag I got the Nailtini: nail lacquer in Lacquer 311 Millionaire (full size), Éclos anti-aging regenerative cream (sample), Benefit they're real mascara (sample), Starlet cosmetics eye pencil in chocolate, The Blam Meet Matt single eyeshadow in Matt Batali (sample) and they also sent me, as a bonus item for the first time shipping to Canada, a fluffy myglam eyeshadow brush.

The Nailtini nail lacquer in Millionaire is a gold, blue and pink glittery nailpolish. There are bigger chunks of gold and blue glitters and smaller pink ones. It's so pretty! You can wear it alone or on top of another nailpolish. The applicator is large and flat so it's easier to use. You can buy it at tinibeauty.com for 13$.
The Starlet cosmetics eye pencil in chocolate has a very good pigmentation and glides on easily. The color is very pretty and I can't wait to try it out. The packaging is also very pretty and feminine. You can buy it at starletcosmetics.com for 11$.
