First Impression: Benefit They're Real! Mascara

heyy girls,

a few month back I received in my Ipsy bag a mini size of Benefit They're Real! mascara.  I don't know why I haven't tried it sooner but anyway...today I'm here with a review of this mascara. I have to say that I've heard a lot of beauty guru raved about it so I had high hopes for that product.

The brush

First thing I want to mention about this mascara is how amazing the brush is. I think that it is awesome that they thought of putting "bristles" at the end of it. That way it is easier to reach those lashes at the outer corner AND those bottom lashes that we often forget. Here is a picture of what I mean because I know it's not clear :)

The formula

It is a wet formula but it's not wet at the point where your lashes clump together. Be careful with the tip of the brush because it can distribute more product then what you were thinking. Make sure to remove the excess and everything should be fine. I personally liked the formula because you don't have to wait a thousand years before your lashes dry completely.

What's in my travel makeup bag!

heyy girls,

this post isn't really what I bring when I travel to an other country but more what makeup I bring when I go to my dad's house. I stay a week to my mom's, a week to my dad's, a week to my mom's, a week to my dad's, etc. My makeup collection is at my mom's so this is why I bring makeup to my dad's. Keep in mind that I don't wear makeup everyday especially foundation and I don't mind be bare face so this is why I don't bring foundation. I also don't bring any palette because I have one of the Naked palettes at each place. I do bring brushes but not a lot since I don't need all of them. I don't have a lot of brushes anyway. **My makeup bag is from Yves Rocher and I got it for free with an order.**

An easy way to save money!

heyy girls,

today I'm here with a very interesting post. What if you could save money? Recently I've discovered a way to save a little bit of money by using something awesome. I'm so happy that I discovered that product because now with the money that saved I'll be able to spend more on makeup and other things that I love. AND it's good for the environment!

**First I want to say that this isn't sponsored and that I'm not paid to promoted that product.**
They did send me that product and I have to say that I felt instantly in love with it, this is why I decided to do a post about it. **This is all my personal opinion**

The amazing product that I've been using is washable cosmetic pads that you remove your makeup with. They are from a french company called Les Tendances d'Emma. Basically all you have to do is pour some makeup remover on the cosmetic pad and remove your makeup with it. What is great about it is that it's washable so you can reuse them 4500 to 6000 times per kit. So 300 uses per cotton pads.

Top to bottom: Eucalyptus, Bamboo, Biological cotton
As you can see I got three different types of pads. I have pads made of three different materials: Eucalyptus, bamboo and biological cotton. What I like about the materials is that they are very good quality and sooo soft especially the eucalyptus material.

But what is AMAZING about them is that you can save 240 to 335$ on disposable cosmetic pads. Let's take a minute to think about all of those things that you can do with that money...

February 2013 Topbox

heyy girls,

not long ago I cancelled  my Ipsy subscription and replaced it with Topbox. This month we had the choice to choose a special theme box or the regular one. I chose the Benefit box and I don't regret it at all. Topbox is a monthly subscription box where you pay 12$ per month. Here is what I got in my Topbox this month...

First thing that came in my Topbox was a little Dandelion kit with a mini size of the blush and the lipgloss. The blush is very pale and I had an hard time swatching it even though I have very pale skin. It is a light natural pink. I love the lipgloss! The color is sooo pretty and it isn't sticky at all. As usual, the packaging is girly and pretty. I think that Benefit always does the cutest packaging. A full size blush costs 36$ (7g) and a full size lipgloss costs 18$ (15mL). You can buy those products at Sephora or on Benefit.

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

heyy girls,

Valentine's Day is coming soon so I've decided to do two outfit ideas that you can wear on a date or on a girl's night out for this specific day.

Girly & Chic

This outfit is more formal because of the black dress and the heels but still appropriate for a first date because of the pink jean jacket.

Confessions Of Beauty Blogger Tag

heyy girls,

today I've decided to do another Tag for you. I like doing Tags because you can learn more things about me and it is an easy and fun post to do. This was requested and I've seen this post for the Youtube Beauty community but I guess Beauty Bloggers modified that Tag for them. I don't know how it will turn out but let's do this! :)

How many hours a week do you spend writing/editing posts?
I've never tried to count how many time I spend on a post but I think the writing and editing (downloading pictures and all that stuff) takes 1-2 hours and taking pictures can take 1-2 hour. So 3 hours per post in general and sometime it can take longer.

Are a spender or a saver?
I've to say that I'm both. I spend money when I know it's worth it or that I know that I'm in a good financial situation. And I know how to save when it's the time even thought I love shopping.

When is it easiest for you to blog?
After school and during the weekends. I tried as hard as I can to publish 2 posts per week.

What's your skin type? Tips & Tricks

heyy girls,

knowing your skin type is important because when it comes to take care of it or just to choose the right foundation your skin type can makes a big different on how it'll look. There are 5 types of skin: oily skin, dry skin, combination skin, normal skin and sensitive skin. I'm not a dermatologist. This is just a little guide to help people.

Oily skin

You know that you have oily skin when your face gets very shiny during the day, especially on the T-zone. You also might have enlarged pores and be prone to breakouts because of the overproduction of sebum. A lot of time, teenagers and young adults have oily skin due to hormonal changes.

Tips & Tricks
1) wash your face twice a day
2) moisturize your face with an oil-free and noncomedogenic moisturizer
3) try to not touch your face during the day
4) use a scrub or a masque your face once to twice a week
5) choose a foundation oil-free and with a matte finish, set it in place with powder

Dry skin

You have dry skin when your skin feels tight, especially after cleansing. Your skin has a tendency to flake or to have red patches. This is cause by a lack of sebum on your skin which is the opposite of oily skin. To MOISTURIZE is the key. Sometime dry skin can be sensitive. In general, people with dry skin don't get shiny on the T-zone during the day.
