Fashion Friday | Prom Lookbook

heyy girls,

prom season is coming very soon where I leave and I decided to do an entire post dedicated to it. I don't know about you but I LOVE looking at prom dresses or just more formal dresses on Pinterest. For this post, I partnered up with the brand Bonobos to show you what type of suit your boyfriend could wear with the prom dress that you chose. I hope you'll find that post helpful and inspirational! By the way, all the dresses that I am going to show you today are on my Pinterest, you click here to have direct access. So, yeah...let's get started!

Prom Look #1
This first look is very fresh looking while still being glamorous at the same time. As you can see, the dress has some metallic pieces on the top section and it has some cut-outs as well. The bottom section (we'll call it that way because I don't know the terms for that section) is very flowy and soft with its very light pink color.

As for the suit go, I recommend going with a light color one, like this suit from Bonobos. Again, it goes very well with our fresh and young looking look that we're looking for. Of course, not everyone is daring enough to wear a cream color suit but I really think that this kind of color is perfect with pale color dresses. Also, I don't think that a black suit would be the best for complimenting that kind of dress.

Prom Look #2
For this second look, I went with something a little more simple for the dress. This A-line type of dress looks good on anyone and is very easy to accessorise since there isn't much details except for the fabric design on the top part of the dress. The sweetheart neckline is also very flattering for most women.

Fashion Friday | Workout Clothes

Heyy girls,

Recently, I've really be into health & fitness and today I took the decision to incorporate more of that kind of content on my blog. Hopefully you'll like it and find it interesting. So, today I'm going to talk about my favorite workout clothes that I've tried so far. I'll start with the tops and then I'll talk about the bottoms and even socks!

This picture isn't mine; I took it from Pinterest.
My favorite tops
I've really been enjoying this top from Lolë. I bought at Sport Expert for 40% off and I'm glad I did. What's awesome about this top is that there is a sport bra incorporated in it, so you can only wear this with a pair of yoga pants and you're good to go. I also love how there is a pocket in the back to put your water bottle. It is very expensive though, and to be quite honest I would never of bought this top if it wasn't on sale.

Another top that I love is from the Nike Dry-Fit collection. It is this ombre blue tank top. What I really like about this top compared to the other one that I've just talked about is the thin material. But it isn't thin at the point you can see through the shirt, and the fabric isn't too stretchy or too stiff. I mean for the price you definitely get the quality. Again, this top is very expensive, but I got it for 50% off I think. So far, I'm really liking the Dry-Fit collection.

If you are looking for affordable good quality workout clothes, Target has some cool stuff. I haven't tried a lot of their stuff but I know that they carry the brand Champion, which is a well-known fitness brand.

Haul | Makeup, Clothes & more

heyy girls,

I've been shopping a little bit here and there recently, and I thought why not show you what I got? It's not much, but there were some new things that I've never tried before that I bought, and that I'm VERY excited for! Let's see what I bought...

The first thing that I bought was this Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer. I've talked about it in a Monday Challenge about how I interesting it looks, and guess what? I bought it. #proudofmyselfforremembering (sorry that's a long #) I think it was around 8-9$CA, but I'm not sure...

I am almost out of my current eye makeup remover (review), so I decided to pick up this Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover at the drugstore. I've never heard of it, but I thought I would give it a try since it looked promising to me ;) It cost 6-7$CA at the drugstore.

And I'm also out of my current facial moisturizer form First Aid Beauty (review), which I'm VERY sad about because that thing is kind of expensive, plus I LOVED it. Again, I've never heard of Neutrogena Oil-Free Sensitive Skin Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer, but there were too many options. I didn't know what to pick up that wasn't too expensive. I think this was around 12$CA.

I've seen those Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm and the shiny ones for a couple of months now, but I've never really thought much about it because Revlon is expensive here in Canada, and I didn't want to spend 12$CA on a balm. But there were on sale, so I thought why not?

Monday Challenge | All About Purses + My Purse Essentials

heyy girls,

I'm back today with another Monday Challenge. I hope you're enjoying them so far, because I know I am ;) This week's challenge is all about purses and I've decided to also show you my Top 5 purse essentials...

Do you prefer big purses or small ones?
I do usually go for bigger purses because I feel like I can put everything that I need in them. I also like how they look on me.

Do you change your purse regularly? Or do you use it until it's completely worn off before changing it?
I definitely don't change my purse regularly. I will wait until my purse is completely ruined or until I find another purse before changing it.

What purse is your favorite?
I haven't found my dream purse yet or a purse that I'm madly in love with... I'm on the hunt for one so leave me comments telling me your favorite purse :)

What are your dream purses?
Every night I dream of buying a Michael Kors Large Selma Top-Zip Satchel or some kind of a structured purse like this one. Since dream purses aren't supposed to be affordable, I'm going to continue with another purse that I think looks amazing; it is the Raspail MM from Louis Vuitton.

Do you match your purse with your outfit? With your shoes? Or you don't really care?
I try to make it work with my outfit, but I mostly have neutral purses so they do go well with everything. I don't really try that hard though...

I ♥ Fall Tag

Heyy girls,

as you all know fall is here and winter is definitely coming soon. I've decided to do the I ♥ Fall Tag since I wanted to share with you my love for Fall. I know that I'm late to do this Tag so yes there will be Halloween related questions but it doesn't matter because I'll answer them anyway. I hope you'll enjoy it. Next post will be a first impression or a review on a skincare product that I've recently purchased.

Favorite Fall lip product?
I love my Maybelline Baby Lips in the color Grape Vin. It gives a nice berry tint to your lips and is sheer enough that you don't need a mirror to apply it.

Favorite Fall Nail Polish?
A couple of weeks ago, I bought Chinchilly by Essie at the drugstore and I just think that it is THE perfect color for Fall. Seriously, I highly recommend you to take a look at it if you have a chance one day. It is a very pretty taupe color that goes with everything.
Favorite Starbucks Fall Drink?
Okay so I might be the last person on earth who haven't tried any Starbucks Fall drink, but I'm more of a cold beverage type of person. When I'm shopping I like to drink refreshing drinks like the Green Tea Lemonade.

Favorite Fall Candle?

I can't choose between them so I'll have to tell you what ARE my favorite Fall candles ;) I love Leaves, Autumn and Mahogany Teakwood (which smells like Abercrombie...)

Favorite Fall Scarf or accessory?
Recently, I've been loving my new scarf from Target that I bought when I went there for the first time. I love floral prints so for me it was perfect. I also can't forget to present you my Fall coat that I also bought at Target. **Sorry for the quality of the pictures**

🍁 Fall 2013 Fashion Trends 🍁

heyy girls,

as you know Fall is coming very soon and I wanted to share with you some of the fashion trends that I'm excited to wear or that I just think are wearable and cute ;)

Army trend

This trend has been going on for a while now and I think it is there to stay. I love this trend because it is a little bit more daring than what I usually like to wear.

Tall Boots (Riding Boots) trend

I'm going to be honest with you, I haven't own a pair of tall boots in a while. I just always thought that they didn't look good on me and that they took to much effort to put on and take off for school. But recently, I've been obsessed with this kind of look. I think it is the perfect fall accessory. This means that I NEED to go out and buy a pair...#happygirl

Knit Beanie trend

This fall, knit beanie will most likely be huge. I don't remember if it was the case last year but I know that a lot of people already wear them but I'm excited to try this trend since I've never bought a beanie before. Again, I didn't thought that I could pull it off but this year I want to experiment with my look :)

👜 What's in my purse? : Summer Edition 👜

Heyy girls,

Today I'm here with a post that I've never done before. I am going to show you what I carry in my purse. I bought this purse from a store named Bentley and it is from the brand d-fusion. It is a brown cross body bag made with an imitation of leather. Here is what it looks like...

The only thing that I keep in my back pocket is my keys since it isn't deep enough to keep my phone in there. That way I can also easily find my keys.

Here is what the inside of my purse looks like when you first open it up...

In my purse I keep my big wallet which is from the same brand as my handbag. I love this wallet because it has a lot of room in it and I love the color too!
I also keep a little black bag that hold my feminine products.
In my big hot pink sunglasses case that I keep in my purse I have my aviator sunglasses that I bought from Ardene.
The last thing that I keep in there is my sunscreen. It is by Neutrogena and I LOVE this sunscreen ;)

In the inside pocket of my purse I keep lip products, a perfume and sometimes some Advils and stuff like that ;) I have the Lovestruck by Very Wang perfume, Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Limonade, Benefit Sugarbomb lipgloss and Nivea Lip Butter lip balm.

The last two things that I keep in my purse is my cellphone which is the Iphone 4 and a pair of white headphones. I keep those two things in the little side pockets as you can see in the pictures below...

**I am wearing Essie Under Where? on those pictures.**

How I style colored shorts

heyy girls,

since summer is coming I thought it will be nice to come with more summery ideas...so here I am today with a how to style colored short. I have recently bought those clothes that I'll show you later. When I got home I was very surprised to see that I could do many different looks with only one pair of shorts. I have decided to do this post to help out people who wants to wear color in their upcoming outfits but doesn't know how to style it.

**In those outfit I will show you how I style bright blue mini short**

The first outfit is definitely a bright and daring outfit to wear. I like the color blocking on this outfit. As you will see, I don't wear a lot of jewelry with bright color because I don't want it to look "too much".

In real life, the top is really a bright coral and I am wearing a black bandeau underneath because it is kind of sheer.

The key to this outfit is to wear three colors maximum. Example, I am wearing some bright blue short, a bright coral tank top and a black bandeau. In this case, you don't need a lot of accessories since you already have a lot going on with the bright colors.

This next outfit is a very casual outfit that you can wear during those more chilly nights. I think it is still very cute and it is comfy.

I wore a black bandeau underneath it for you to see that it is more sheer in the back. This is why I would probably wear a white or a colorful bandeau. Again I kept it simple in the accessories...

Valentine's Day Outfit Ideas

heyy girls,

Valentine's Day is coming soon so I've decided to do two outfit ideas that you can wear on a date or on a girl's night out for this specific day.

Girly & Chic

This outfit is more formal because of the black dress and the heels but still appropriate for a first date because of the pink jean jacket.

Fashion Friday: Spring Trends

heyy girls,

Fashion Friday is a new series that I'll do occasionally on my blog. It is all about fashion. Today we will talk about what trends we saw on the runway and which of them might hit the stores for the spring 2013. Keep in mind that this is a summary of all the trends that are the most wearable, it doesn't mean that they will all become a trend next season. This is my thoughts about the more wearable pieces that we saw on the runway.

Stripes and black & white

In the runway, black and white was very popular but what we saw the most was the stripes. I think that stripes are a wearable trend and I'm excited to see if it will be THE trend for the upcoming season. I think this trend is very basic and I love how classy it is. By the way, I'm in love with the Marc Jacobs dress below. It is so pretty!

left to right: Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors.
Bermuda shorts

Bermuda shorts might be very popular on the street and on the business clothing. We can see a more every day bermuda jean with DKNY and a more work appropriate bermuda with Suno. I don't know if I would wear bermuda during Spring because it is cold here in Canada during that time of the year. How cute are those pink and purple bermuda! Love it.

Leather

We all know that leather can be wear in different ways and as you can see below we had variety on the runway this season. I think that leather will never get old because it adds more texture to a basic look. I always wear my leather jacket during the Spring so it would be cool if leather becomes a trend.
